The question I get asked more than any other

"Should I start with a newsletter, a podcast, or a YouTube channel?" Here's an honest framework instead of a one-size-fits-all answer. Join us for Office Hours tomorrow.

I built something called Tract: upload a sales or investor call, it scores it 0-100, pulls the exact lines that cost you the deal, and drafts the follow-up. Built off the process that's closed me $500K+ in real deals, not sales theory. I'm getting it in front of a handful of founders before a wider launch, happy to set you up free in exchange for honest feedback (and a quick testimonial if it's actually useful to you). Newsletter

Lowest lift, fastest to start. You don't need followers, equipment, or an editing workflow — just consistency. The tradeoff: it's the slowest to build an audience, and it rewards founders who are genuinely disciplined writers.

Another one of my crazy set ups over the years.

Podcast

The best format for building real relationships — your guests become part of your actual network, not just content. The tradeoff: it's the most production-heavy of the three, and momentum dies fast if you go quiet.

YouTube

The highest ceiling for discovery — people find you who've never heard of you any other way. The tradeoff: it's also the most competitive, and standing out takes a clearer angle than "founder talks about their startup."

Here's the actual answer, not the diplomatic one: pick whichever one you'd still do even if nobody was watching for the first 90 days. Consistency beats picking the "right" channel, every time. The founders who win aren't the ones who chose correctly — they're the ones who didn't quit in week three.
